The Whole Knit & Caboodle

Barely coherent ramblings of a yarn-obsessed stay at home mom

Behind the Hook

I’m Sarah.  A mother, a wife, a crafter, a designer, a small business owner.  Outgoing, easy going and I find my own jokes funnier than anyone else does (in my own defense though- isn’t that usually the case?).    I’m a small town, east coast girl living in BC, enjoying life at home with my young daughter and probably learning more from her than she’s learning from me.

Crocheting and designing patterns are two of my most favourite things.  They provide a creative outlet for me as well as generate a little income that makes it a little easier to stay home with my daughter full time.  I’m inspired by so much and there isn’t a craft project I won’t at least try.

I enjoy writing and I enjoy sharing my projects with people so starting a blog to chronicle my adventures in crafting just made sense.  Maybe I’ll inspire someone! 🙂

  1. I think your site is fabulous and have noticed that you have an amazing number of followers and facebook likes etc. I’m still trying to find out how I can best promote my site to gain a few more followers (thank you so much for the recent awared – hope that will help!) and was wondering if you have any ‘too-tips’ to share.
    Thanks

Sarah, thank you for putting together the Mischevious Bunny pattern. I just finished it for an Easter present for my grandson – that is all he wanted. Your pattern was easy to follow. Every pieces came out as expected and assembly was easy with your instructions. I’ve now purchased two more of your patterns and can’t wait to try them. This was also my first attempt at crocheting an animal so what a wonderful way to start something new and be encouraged by the results. Highly recommend your patterns. Thanks again.

    • Hi Fran!

Thank-you so much for your glowing review! I’m so happy that you enjoyed the pattern; I try to make it as easy as possible for those following my patterns to come out with great results. Feedback like yours warms my heart and lets me know I really AM doing what I’m meant to do 🙂

Enjoy your other patterns! If you would like to share photos of your finished items I would love to see them, you can email them to me (thewholeknitandcaboodle@hotmail.com) or share them on my Facebook page (www.facebook.com/thewholeknitandcaboodle).

      Thank-you again,
      Sarah 🙂
